Happy Monday everyone. On today’s blog, we are going to look back at Friday’s parlay I created with Beat the Odds Blog and Parlay With Marlee.
If you didn’t read it, my blog post last Friday included a special appearance from two other sports bloggers, Beat the Odds Blog and Parlay With Marlee, where we crafted a three leg parlay for the ages (or, at least we thought so at the time). Here’s the betting slip as a reminder:
If you are an avid college football viewer, you already know where this is going. Our first two legs, the under in Tennessee vs Alabama and the over in Penn State vs Ohio State, both missed, which makes our final leg, 49ers -7, a reputation saving pick.
If the Niners don’t cover, Beat the Odds Blog, Parlay With Marlee, and A2Z Sports might have to shut down for good. I mean, we can’t call ourselves betting experts and go 0-3 with a whole weekend of picks to work with. That’s just unacceptable. Our sites are at stake here, and our reputations lie in the hands of Christian McCaffrey, Kyle Shannahan, and the rest of the 49ers organization.
INJURY UPDATES
In Friday’s blog I talked about how injuries will play a big role in tonight’s game, so here’s an update to the injury-riddled San Francisco roster: Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams are inactive, but Christian McCaffrey will take the field. While it definitely hurts to have Deebo and Trent sit out, if I could only pick one of the three stars to play, I would’ve taken CMC in a heartbeat. With him back, the Niners have more than enough firepower to cover the -7.
PLAYER PROPS – HAMMER KITTLE’S OVER IN EVERYTHING
I thought that the article was going to be a little short, so here’s a bonus section about player props for tonight’s game. I don’t think that there will ever be a situation where you should bet more on George Kittle than you should in tonight’s game. National Tight End day was yesterday, and tight ends across the league showed out like never before. Travis Kelce was about 30 yards off from the single game receiving record, Mike Gesicki caught a game winning TD to beat the Bills, and guys like Kyle Pitts and Dallas Goedert were making plays all day:
If you think that Kittle, the founder of National Tight End Day, doesn’t want his fair share of the NTED pie, you couldn’t be more wrong.
Here’s my NTED parlay of the night:
Tail while you still can.
