After what were potentially the wildest first 62 games in bracket history, we have finally arrived at the championship game for the NCAA Tournament. Tonight, the UCONN Huskies face off against the SDSU Aztecs at the NRG Stadium in Houston, with the eyes of the basketball world focused on whether UCONN can compete one of the most dominant playoff runs in recent memory.
In my last blog, I predicted the final matchup we will witness this evening. Included in that prediction, I stated that I think UCONN would win the title in an undisputed fashion. With the matchup now here, I stand by that statement.
I think that UCONN will manhandle SDSU. As of now (just before the game), the spread is set at UCONN -7.0. Sure, the Aztecs have shown that they can defend on an elite level, but there is no stopping this UCONN offense.
I am forecasting a dominant performance from Sanogo and Hawkins that will utterly overpower this SDSU defense. If you had listened to my last blog post, you would’ve laid a mortgage on a UCONN future. I would still suggest a hefty throw on the Huskies, and I’d even take the -7 spread in complete confidence.
With that last bet, it was a blessing covering this tournament, thank you to the few that came to read, I can’t wait for the next march to roll around!!!
