Hello friends. Monday is here again, which means it’s time for another weekend update. This past weekend we didn’t have anything that I think I should dive too deep into, but there were some high and lowlights to go over. I am also midway through driving from Boston to Boulder, so I’ll keep it short and sweet today.
BEST BASEBALL FIGHT IN YEARS
Jose Ramirez and Tim Anderson just gave us the greatest baseball fight since Rougned Odor rang Jose Bautista’s bell back in 2016.
You gotta love how in both situations the instigator gets put in their place. As for which I think is better, Ramirez vs Anderson takes the cake. It might actually win in every category. The punch, the fall, and of course, the call.
“Down goes Anderson! Down goes Anderson!”
MESSI CONTINUES TO DOMINATE THE MLS
Not one. Not two. But three goals for Messi in Miami’s match against Dallas last night. His second of the night tied it up 4-4, sending it to extra time, where Miami was able to secure the victory. Messi to score plus a Miami win is the bet of the summer.
CHOKE OF THE CENTURY – US WOMENS TEAM IS ELIMINATED FROM WORLD CUP
The United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) was just knocked out in the round of 16 after an extra time loss against Sweden. This is the earliest exit ever for the USWNT, and after controversial protests that involved disrespecting the national anthem, the team has been under serious fire in the media since the loss. I’m not going to pick a side here…it’s a tightrope I don’t want to walk at the moment while juggling the stress of driving over two thousand miles.
That being said, here are the three missed penalty kicks that would’ve won the game for us:
NATE DIAZ CLOWNS JAKE PAUL IN LOSS
Not much to be said here. It was another exhibition match that means nothing and proves less for Jake Paul as a boxer. We did however get some memeable moments out of Nate Diaz.
